The Story: Sunrise
Softly singing simple songs swirling beneath my breath, I slipped slowly under the spell of silent sleep.
Still and serene, I slept until the sun split the sky from soil and sailed overhead. The soft rays switched specks of dust to sparkles as I sat up straight in my sheets.
Sweet smells and steam surround the shower as a shaved my stubbly stems and shampooed my tangled strands.
I slipped into a satin wrap and steeped some tea as I savored the short season of slow mornings.
